Kody Fallenfire is the third in a series of Glitchtale Origins shorts, released on October 24, 2020. It takes place before the events of Kanashi Fukitsu, Gaster and The Black Beast.

The short episode was directed by Camila Cuevas.

Plot[]

In his childhood, Kody Fallenfire comes from a family not of noble blood. He watches as the Wizard Council member Stelle trains royal Integrity children how to create small Gravity Platforms. Kody volunteers and, much to everyone's surprise, he manages to climb his own platforms much higher than everyone else. Seeing potential in him, Stelle begins training Kody, growing a strong friendship between the two over many years. In his adulthood, Kody bids farewell to Stelle as she goes on a small trip with Roy Goldburn, but after almost two weeks, a saddened Roy returns and reveals that Stelle apparently attempted to kill Ozrich Maekrik but she was caught and killed.

Stelle is then deemed as a traitor to the public, but a grieving Kody refuses to believe it, and he begins his life-long dream of going to Ukishima, a series of floating islands. He utilizes his platforms to leap into the air, but as he ponders if his friendship with Stelle was a lie, his SOUL starts turning grey, causing him to lose his magic and fall. Deciding that no one can define who is, he musters his regained magic to launch himself in the air, finally rising among the floating islands. Sitting on one island, he finds a message from Stelle congratulating him for making it up Ukishima.
