Hands are one of Gaster's primary weapons. Gaster developed his own fighting style, influenced by his ability to summon up to seven hands under his control, each one with a different power/ability. With DUALITY, Gaster can summon two giant ones, and with Polychromatism, he can summon both the giant and small ones.
Abilities[]
- Monotone: All the hands turn of a certain color, amplifying the power of his next attack by 7. In Season 2, Gaster can only use six hands, therefore his attacks are multiplied by 6, until Animosity where Gaster gets his seventh hand back. [1]
- Chromatic Magical Energy: As in the name, Gaster can manipulate and use Chromatic Magic in each hand or all at once.
- Red Attack: Shoots a blast of energy that is two times more powerful than normal Gaster Blasters.
- Green Attack: Spawns a forcefield or a shield to protect someone, however, it drains more energy the longer it is used.
- Orange Attack: Spawns white dots around its target. When the dots turn orange, they create a deadly explosion.
- Blue Attack: Spawns up to 2 blue razor blade discs that follow its target.
- Yellow Attack: Spawns many bullet-like projectiles that move at a really fast pace.
- Cyan Attack: Shoots 4 ropes that stick to its target until Gaster decides to let go or the string is cut off.
- Purple Attack:: Shoot purple spikes at it's target to impale them. In season 1, due to Gaster being affected by the void, this caused his purple attack to instead copy his enemies attacks.
- Rainbow Attack: Mixes the aforementioned colored attacks into one to fire a white beam that locks onto a target and follows them. The beam can be split apart into smaller projectiles that work the same.
- DUALITY: The hands all turn into two bigger ones, with the power being amplified way higher than it was before.
- Polychromatism: Summons seven hands, two giant hands and a huge Gaster Blaster.
Trivia[]
- Gaster has holes in his hands which he uses for controlling and using his powers. [2]
- Since Gaster has extremely unique powers, the holes in his hands get filled according to the power he’s using, so he can actually shoot powers from those holes and also shows what he’s using. He was naturally born with it.
- His perseverance power is blocked and he was only able to use it in Yet Darker due to the ”weird void powers”, making them technically not count. It's noted because this hand is blocked and Gaster's max hands spawn is 6. He gains it back in Animosity by gaining all his magic back, also making his eyes purple. This increasing his max hand counts back to 7.
- Every power that Gaster uses represents each one of the human soul traits' powers.
- Hands' colors and attacks can be the same if Gaster wishes so.
- Hands can be used for other purposes such as melee attacks.
