The Battle of New Home was an engagement which pitted the forces of Asriel Dreemurr, Frisk and the six previous fallen humans before Frisk, against a sinister offensive of Chara. Asriel managed to stand his ground against Chara inside a massive ball of HATE until he admitted to Frisk that he cannot bring himself to harm Chara.
In the fierce battle, Asriel and his allies triumphed, using SOUL Traits to defeat Chara emotionally, freeing him from HATE's control. In the conclusion, Chara used his SOUL and the other SOUL Traits to create a new SOUL for Asriel, allowing him to live on as his normal self while Chara was sent to the Void.
