The Anti-Magic Ray (or AMR for short) is an AMD weapon. It has a blue color with a shape of a pistol. The Nullifier was an abandoned project due to its danger linked with the user's soul. However, it is used repeatedly by Jessica for meaningless purposes.

We see its first use in "Dust" when Jessica, wanting to get revenge on the monsters for her daughter's death, snuck up on Sans, Frisk, Asriel, and Betty while they were watching Mettaton at their first life performance. She saw that Sans was holding up metal beams with magic which, if dropped, would cause chaos and instability among the humans and monsters. She then fired the AMR, causing Sans to temporarily lose his magical abilities, causing the metal beams to drop on the people. He was later hit again a few hours later.

Functions

  • It neutralizes monster's power/magic but it isn't powerful enough to kill the monster.
  • It is very painful to the target.
  • It causes damage to the user's soul
  • It links to the user's soul and uses it as a power source.

Trivia

  • The AMR's danger level is 5, which is, by far, the highest danger level.
  • The AMR doesn't have a trigger, instead, it has a needle.
  • A monster cannot use the AMR.
  • The AMR can identify whether the user is or isn't a monster.
  • The HSO doesn't approve this weapon.
  • Jessica's soul cracked because of it.
