Plot[]
Frisk hangs out with Sans at the latter's hot dog stand in Hotland. Sans starts talking about how they should not Reset anymore, saying it can have side effects such as time anomalies and events that are not suppose to happen. Meanwhile, in the True Lab, a dark substance manifests Chara, who goes on to kill the Amalgamates.
Frisk then goes to the Lab to find the dark substance leaking out of the doors. Entering the True Lab, Frisk finds the DT Extraction Machine and encounters Chara. The megalomaniac explains that the glitches and errors in the timeline brought him back, and that he only needs Determination to exist in the living world, so Chara obtained enough from the Amalgamates. While Flowey is watching, the glitching Chara uses the dark substance to trap Frisk into the Extractor to gain his Determination.
Flowey goes to Snowdin to meet his old enemy Sans, informing him of Chara, saying that he only needs Sans's help so that he and everyone could survive without Chara controlling the timeline. Arriving at the True Lab, a battle breaks out, with Sans and Flowey attempting strike blows at Chara. During the fight, Sans saves Flowey's life, and while Sans is tired, Chara berates Flowey for ruining their plan to get six human SOULs to free monsters many years ago, blaming him for how they ended up.
Suddenly, the Extractor is finished extracting Frisk's Determination and the duo resume their battle against Chara in a race to get Frisk's Determination. When Flowey grabs Chara's arm with a vine, Chara severs his own arm to obtain Frisk's Determination before Sans. Realizing that they have lost, Sans teleports himself, Flowey and Frisk out of the True Lab while Chara uses his new SAVE file, with the text displaying "*Determination." In Papyrus and Sans's House, Sans prepares to use his machine to get help from someone.
